About Google Malware Checker

Google's Malware Checker is a free tool that helps you check if any page on your site has been flagged as malware.  Malware can do a lot of things, including stealing or deleting your personal information and using your computer to attack other computers. If you think there might be malware on your computer, it's important to take action as soon as possible to limit the damage.

If Google detects malware on your site, it will show up in search results with an alert that says "This site may harm your computer" (see example below). If you're seeing this message about your site, use the Malware Checker to find out exactly what pages need fixing. Here's how:

1. Go to Google Webmaster Tools and sign in with your Google Account.

2. Select the site you want to check.

3. Click Diagnostics, then click Malware.

4. Review the pages found to have suspicious content and take appropriate action to clean up the pages and protect your users!

Malware—or malicious software—is a type of software that’s specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to a computer system. Malware typically spreads through file attachments, executable programs, and links shared online.

Website malware can cause severe damage to your site’s reputation and traffic. If you don’t take proper precautions, Google will flag your site as malicious and visitors won’t be able to access it.
